Field Emission (FE) – Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) for high resolution imaging at high magnification. Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) semi-quantitative analyses can be utilized in conjunction with FE-SEM for exploration, economic geology, applied mineralogy, process mineralogy, applied microscopy, and mineral analysis.
Raw materials (~2″ diameter), polished thin sections (1″ x 1-1/2″ x 30 um), polished sections (1″ diameter) are typical sample inputs for FE-SEM.
